The Tripe Marketing Board’s website – which was revamped during the summer thanks to a grant from East Lancashire Business Development Agency – today welcomed its 100th visitor.
TMB chairman Sir Norman Wrassle said it was a momentous day for tripe, coming as it did in the run-up to World Tripe Day later this month. Speaking from his Lytham home, Sir Norman said the board had previously struggled to get more than a couple of visitors a day to its flagship online portal, but that since the revamp all that had changed.
“We don’t know who the individual was, but I’m told they live in the Watford area, which is an exciting development for us. They apparently spent over a minute and a half browsing our FAQ page and a further 20 seconds looking at our recipes, which is very encouraging,” Sir Norman said.
