As 24 October approaches, the world once more expectantly awaits the dawn of another World Tripe Day – the one day of the year when tripe lovers can tuck into their favourite dish without fear of ridicule from their friends, family and workmates.
It’s a time to be ‘out and proud’ about your love of a dish that’s as old as mankind itself, and to spend the day celebrating the stomach of a cow.
For 2022, the main celebration is focused on Budapest following previous host events in Rome, Vilnius, Bratislava and Wigan. But of course, the day can be celebrated anywhere, as its name suggests. And whether you’re eating tripe, looking at it or merely just thinking about it, we’d love to hear what you’re up to!
